Travis has a nice bike from his team and a nice fence and also shoots iPhone photos in portrait but who am I to judge, I can barely keep up with post on a blog where I make snarky comments about stems.
…a slammed 130mm stem if he reads the right blogs.
Over here. This guy. Creating jobs. Job creationism.
But seriously, if you live in Chicago and aren’t going to Tati Cycles I don’t know what to do with you.
One, doesn’t have open hours that I’m aware of. Two, he’s a bit of an esoteric weirdo - and I mean that in the best possible way. Three, intentionally lives as a false identity in the bike industry/interweb sphere - which I personally find off-putting. I suspect eventually it’ll come out that either he’s been 100% honest about his racing past or it’s been entirely made up.
Anyway, interesting guy/shop/ethos. But as soon as you think you’ve figured any of that out, it does a 180.
Those three reasons are exactly why Tati is the best bike shop that may or may not actually exist.
